We are pleased to announce that Representative Cody Harris (R-District 8) has filed House Bill 2006 (HB2006) in the Texas House of Representatives. If enacted, HB2006 will restore the right of ALL Texas-born adoptees to obtain their original pre-adoption birth certificate at age 18, without restrictions.
TXARC and its partners continue to work with its long time allies within the Texas Legislature. We also continue to work alongside Support Texas Adoptee Rights, as we did last legislative session. Texas is a big state, and it will take a big effort to achieve victory. That means we must all get involved. Most importantly, we need to unite around this issue in Texas.
